131/365 Two Thousand Five Revisited
Something about 129/365 didn't sit well with me. I don't like to redo a sketch of the same photo but it was bothering me. I think I can let this one go now.

130 Start-To-Finish
I think it's kind of beautiful to see a piece from start to finish. That is why I decided to sketch this one. It shows what one of my sketches looks like from the beginning to the end all in the same piece. It intentionally is incomplete on the left and finished on the right. As you read the entire piece you realize the potential for the simple lines at the start. Though crude and irregular they could be much more with a little work. So true with many aspects of life. A little love and time can change a lot of things.

127/365 Doodle Me
This one is one that was on my desk at work for a week or so. I kept adding things to it here and there until I decided to bring it home and redo it larger and in my actual sketch book.

126/365 Baptism
This sketch looks like there are water ripples around my face. Although that was not my intention I do like this piece. I would like to do an entire body sketch like this one.

124/365 Carpenter
This was sketched with a standard carpenters pencil. It has a rectangle shaped lead so it gives more of a calligraphy look.

118/365 For Amy
This sketchling is for my beloved Amy. She tells me that I need to smile in more of the sketches. Here you are, it's just for you. I just wish that I didn't look like a lady in it. Oh well.

116/365 Look Familiar?
Look Familiar? This is a re-sketch of 114/365. Done with a charcoal pencil. This one has a bolder statement. I like the blurry black on white better. I'm glad I redid it.

115/365 Lazing
Sketch of me sleeping. No photo reference so I didn't realize that my ear plug was set too high until I had finished the piece. Oh well, I still like it.

114/365 Look
Done with a 6B graphite pencil. Shaded with a 2B graphite stick. I like this one but it isn't as intense as I was hoping for. I liked the contrast before I shaded the background better then the end result.

112/365 Many Masks of Me
I didn't want to take up several sketches for these so I added them together. This is masks of me. Hard and emotionless. I might add more to this sketch in the future. Time will tell.

111/365 One Liner
This is a very simple single line with slight shading on the outside. Just a few minutes of me.

110/365 Speechless
This one I really like. Simple, dark, light, and I think it represents me well. The title is "Speechless" because I have no mouth. Not because I think that this sketchling is so amazing that it leaves one speechless. One of my favorites though.

107/365 Mask

This is me removing a mask of sorts. We all wear masks from time to time, sometimes being naked in front of the world is a difficult thing. Letting someone see who you really are. We need to scream to the world " Here I Am, like it or not this is Who I Am ". Well world, there are several faces of me in this self challenge. Let it be known that these are all just simplistic expressions of an image of the man. Some carry more weight then others, but all are sketches.

104/365 Come Together

This is a revisit of sketchling 40/365. This sketchling flows a lot better then the original. The two faces feel more connected, more a part of each other as opposed to a reflection. I like this one a lot more then its' earlier counterpart.

97/365 Looking Down

Simple lines and simple shading. Deep thought or not? Maybe I was just tired. No. I was actually holding my baby, I left him out though.

96/365 Less Is More

I think that I've been putting too much charcoal on the paper. The simpler ones look a lot more complete. I know that it sounds stupid, but I think they look better overall. The next few will be experimenting with little color variations and simple lines. At least for a few sketches anyway.

95/365 Nightmare

Welcome to Nightmare Me. This is actually a negative of a photo. Didn't turn out all that great though. Cool photo, bad sketch attempt.
